Rock On Stage: Hello Blaze, how are you? Thank you so much for the
interview. Well, let's go. In 1996, on Saturday, August 24th, I watched
at Monsters Of Rock at Pacaembu Stadium in São Paulo / SP, my first Iron
Maiden concert with you on vocals on The X-Factor album tour, what are
your memories? do you keep this show at Monsters Of Rock in Brazil and
your debut tour in the band?
Blaze Bayley: I am very excited about returning to Brasil with
my 25 Anniversary Iron Maiden Tour. The set List is full
of songs from the albums I made with Iron Maiden. Sign Of The
Cross, The Clansman and Futureal are some of the songs I will
be singing. I have wonderful memories of the Monsters of Rock Tour
in 1996. The Brasillian fans welcomed me with an open heart.
My voice has changed and improved so much over the 25 years. I feel I
can sing those old songs much better now. It is a lot of fun to sing
them. São Paulo was the biggest concert I ever played. My first stadium
concert. I will never forget that day or that tour.
Rock On Stage: I remember that on January 17, 2015, when entering
the Bar da Montanha in Limeira / SP in Metal Singers alongside names
like UDO, Michael Vescera and Tim "Ripper" Owens, something very
remarkable happened: I saw several Blaze cd´s to sell and when I looked
up and see who was the seller, to my amazement ... it was you ... and
without my asking ... you already signed the record and stopped to take
pictures, Do you like this kind of direct contact, and in this case,
surprisingly with the fans? And how do you consider your relationship
with Brazil and its audience?
Blaze Bayley: I am very close with my Brasillian fans. At each
show in Brasil I do a free meet and greet.
I am independent artist. My fans support me. When my fans buy my cd from
me on my web shop or at a show, I get the money and I make my next cd. I
try to keep my concerts small so that I can meet every fan that comes. I
am very lucky to have so many wonderful loyal fans in Brasil.
